Disinformation

It’s become almost a universal talking point in the modern era to mention that education is a problem, or bad information is causing people to go crazy. What people don’t acknowledge for the most part is that the bad information is normally put out by sensationalists or corporate media.

We do not need a long thoughtful unpacking of the interests of corporate media, but it has become increasingly apparent to the new generations (of which I am a part) who have transitioned into their political ages through the magic of the internet that media seeks to control narrative rather than inform of events.

This isn’t a problem of just right-wing media like OAN, Fox or The Telegraph, nor is it just a problem of left-wing media like CNN, The Guardian, or MSNBC. The whole media complex, draw a huge circle around it, is the problem.

Any media institution that you think of, they are a part of this problem.

In America, it is regularly talked about that Fox News defended itself as “Not news” in court. This isn’t uniquely something with Fox, but with other media outlets too.

If you gave me a choice, I would turn the entire thing into cat food.

How would you get news? How would you find out the important things in the world?

Thankful we don’t need to answer these questions. It’s something that people do individually now. Without the need for huge operating budgets and distribution, from many political views.

We can now see the world in a higher definition than before.

To those of us who are actually interested in multiple views, and not just the view of the singular blob that we call Neolib or Neocon that is in fact just named corrupt political capture independent of party, this presents a fantastic development.

Where would you have gone for someone talking to people outstanding in their field, who have been brick-walled before Joe Rogan?

What Bio-Evolutionary couple could you have listened to before The Darkhorse?

How would you have heard anti-statist views filtered through current events before Michael Malice?

Who provided Classical Liberal mass media before Carl Benjamin?

When would you have had the time to think about Economics before all the economics thinkers?

There are now a plethora of people out in the world providing increasing detailed and ideological based takes that can challenge you, and help us navigate our way to a less fallen man.

The job mass media provided was to have a coerced populous whose ideas were shallowly limited, and attention directed.

Claims of misinformation are at best the flailing arms of an entity drowning. Take heed from what we know about people drowning — they will grab at you and drag you down. Stay away from them, and if they splash you, ignore it, or joke about it. Our heads are above the water.
